Skyfire Beta for Symbian Devices (Nokia E or N Series phones)

Signing up for the Skyfire Beta on a Symbian Device
The latest version of the Skyfire browser for Symbian devices requires Symbian S60, 3rd edition (e.g. typically Nokia N or E series).
Note: Before beginning to install Skyfire, we recommend that you first stop all processes currently running on your device. To do this, press and hold the Menu key. A list of all currently running processes is displayed. Select each process and press the Clear key.
To install Skyfire on a Symbian Mobile device:
1. Go to www.skyfire.com.
The Skyfire website homepage is displayed.

2. Click on the "Get Skyfire Now!" link at the top of the page or on the "Get it Now!" button.
The Sign up for Skyfire Open Beta page is displayed.

3. Enter the following information:
- Your name
- Your email address
(This is your unique Skyfire ID and cannot be changed) - Confirm our email address
- Your mobile phone number
5. Click Submit.
You will shortly receive two communications from Skyfire:
- An SMS containing the link to download the Skyfire beta. Read below for the steps to install Skyfire over-the-air from our SMS message.
- An email confirmation of your sign-up and containing the link to download the Skyfire beta. See Installing the Skyfire Symbian Beta from our email with the PC download for the steps required to install Skyfire from an email message.
Installing the Skyfire Beta from our SMS with Over-the-Air Download Link
To install Skyfire from an SMS message:
1. On your device, open the SMS message from Skyfire.
2. Click on the link provided in the SMS message to confirm your registration.
This link will open with the Symbian browser.
3. Select Open Link.
The Download Skyfire Now page is displayed.
4. Enter your password and confirm it.
5. Select Submit.
The Download Skyfire Now page is displayed.
6. Click on the link to download Skyfire.
A Download dialog box is displayed.
7. Click OK to download the file.
8. When the download has finished, you are asked if you want to install Skyfire.

9. Select Yes.
A security warning may be displayed.
10. Click Continue.
The installation file details are displayed.

11. Click Continue.
If a previous version of Skyfire exists on your device, you are asked if you would like to replace it with the newer version.
12. Click OK.
You are asked to choose a location to install Skyfire. We strongly recommend that you select Phone Memory to install directly to the device.

13. Select Phone Memory and press Select.
The Application Access screen is displayed.
14. Click Continue.
The Details screen is displayed.
15. Click Continue.
The Skyfire license agreement page is displayed.

16. Click Continue to indicate your acceptance of the license agreement.
Skyfire is installed to the Applications folder on your device.

17. To launch Skyfire, browse to the Applications folder on your device and select Skyfire.
You are asked to enter your email address and password. This step is required only during initial setup, it will not appear when you next launch Skyfire.
18. When you have entered your email address and password, click OK.You are asked to select an access point.
19. Select the access point relevant to your data plan (or Wifi access) After a short loading period, the Skyfire start page is displayed.

Welcome to Skyfire!
Next time, when you launch Skyfire, you will go straight to the Skyfire Start Page. You may be asked whether you want Skyfire as your default browser.
